USDA Rural Development is conducting a review 2018
USDA Rural Development Review of all areas under its jurisdiction will be conducted to identify areas that no longer qualify as rural for housing programs.
But what is a USDA Loan? We believe this program is one of the “best kept secrets” in the market today.
This zero-down, 100% financing loan is sponsored by the U.S Department of Agriculture to encourage ownership of a home in less populated communities across the United States.
That is why it’s often known as the Rural Housing Loan or USDA Rural Development Loan. This program is part of a greater Rural Housing Service under USDA’s umbrella of programs options.
But don’t let this name confuse you. It’s not just for properties that seem isolated from the civilization.
The truth is that 97% of U.S. land mass is eligible for USDA financing, which accounts for about third 1/3 rd of the United States population. It is very likely that a property near you can qualify. You can see eligible areas by going to the USDA property eligibility website
Last Rural Areas Review 2015
It is important to know that the last USDA Rural Development Review rural was performed in 2012-2013 using the 2010 census data. This review, which is done every five years, will utilize the 2015 American Community Survey (ACS) data.
